Our area is prone to severe weather resulting in catastrophic events such as hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding and other natural disasters. Do not go thru another severe weather event unprepared. Harris County Public Health representatives will be here to teach you how you can care for your family in case of emergencies. All ages welcomed.

Workshop designed by Children's Museum Houston to provide parents with resources, strategies and activities to improve family literacy, learning practices and parents' abilities to serve as their child's first teacher.

Participants will also receive passes to the Children's Museum to admit up to six people for free!  Ages 3-9.

Come see, touch and learn about snakes at this fun educational program!
Join us as we learn about the various species of snakes in Texas and the surrounding region. If you're lucky, you might just get to touch a snake! Space is limited. Program is recommended for children ages 5 & up.

Play & Learn is a program designed for children ages 18 months- 5 years old to learn through play. Children will enjoy interactive playing time that will help them learn and develop skills in preparation for early success and school readiness.

For the last Summer Reading Program Adult Craft of the year we will be making works of art with paint and a cotton swab. 

No registration required, but all attendees must be 18 years or older.

All supplies are provided by the friends of Freeman.

Join us for the Great Park Adventure – a summer-long journey of discovery, nature, and fun! We’ll begin our adventure at the JC Library before heading outdoors to explore one of the parks nearest to our community. Each session, children will learn about the importance of parks in preserving nature, conserving biodiversity, and providing spaces for recreation and learning.

Special guests from Texas A&M Forest Service, Bayou Preservation Association, Lake Sheldon State Park, and Big Bend National Park will help guide our exploration!

Join us for a one-shot campaign to learn game play basics in a collaborative and fun environment! No registration is required and snacks will be provided.

NOTE: this is a young adult program and is aimed at ages 13 through 18. Content may not be appropriate for younger children. Children under age 13 may attend at their parent or guardian's discretion.
