Every child has an artist inside them! If your child is 6 years and older then bring them to our monthly Art Club. Here they will enjoy a variety of activities whether it be painting, drawing, coloring and much more! All materials provided.
Summer Reading Program
Color your taste buds with a tasty snack! Children ages 6 -10 years old are invited to prepare delicious and nutritious bento boxes containing the colors of the rainbow. Ingredients will include: Tomatoes, goldfish crackers, bananas, cucumbers, blueberries, and grapes.
Play & Learn is a program designed for children ages 18 months- 5 years old to learn through play. Children will enjoy interactive playing time that will help them learn and develop skills in preparation for early success and school readiness.

On Monday, June 23, 2025 at 3:00 PM, South Houston Branch Library will be having a talk and presentation for kids on the do's and dont's of using the internet. We will teach them how to be safe and recognizing certain dangers.

3 days of design and 3D printing for kids ages 12 and up!
This class will include two days of TinkerCAD 3D design, with a 3D printing orientation on the third day.
Children must be 12 or older to attend this program.
(Children ages 8-11 can attend the 3D printer orientation on July 1 with a parent or guardian. Register at hcpl.net)
