What is ZENTANGLE? It's a method of drawing in black in white using simple patterns to create relaxation. Adults and teens 13+, come try it out on our jumbo whiteboard at Fairbanks Library, 7122 Gessner, Houston, Texas. This art project is a continuing creation beginning June 9, 2025 and will not be erased until the two-week program is over on June 21st. Come relax and let your creativity flow with Zentangle.
Join us on Wednesdays at 11:00 am for Toddler Story Time! This 30-minute Story Time is designed for toddlers aged 1 to 3 years old. We meet in the children's area to share books, songs, rhymes, and more! After Story Time, the toy cabinets are opened and the children are invited to stay and play. It's a great way to meet other caregivers and give your toddler a chance to socialize.
Siblings are always welcome.
We meet in the children's area where the picture books and campfire rug are located.

Join us for Polliwog Club on the first Tuesday of each month at 11:30 am! A traveling naturalist from Precinct 1 will be here at the Fairbanks Branch Library to share a story and fascinating information with us about a particular group of animals such as mammals, reptiles, birds, etc. She will bring 3-4 live animals from the featured group that the children will be able to see up close, and they will also have an opportunity to gently touch the animals if they would like to. Touching the animals is always optional. Hand sanitizer will be provided.
