Join us as the Friends of the Maud Marks Library hold their next used book sale. There is a large selection of hardback fiction and nonfiction, as well as children’s books and paperbacks. All items sell for rock bottom prices!

We will also be hosting a Friends Members-Only preview on Friday, September 26, from 4 PM - 5:30 PM.

If you are not a member of the Friends of the Maud Marks Library, you may join at the door for $10. All proceeds will benefit the library. 

Tweens in grades 4 to 5 come to play Super Smash Bros, race in Mario Kart on our Switch, or play retro Wii games! Snacks provided

Hey Teens and Tweens, come join local artist Richa for a Hyperrealistic Sketching Workshop at Maud Marks!  Supplies provided. 

Grades 3 to 12 bring your binders and come play Pokémon! Game mats and a limited number of gaming packs will be available. Parents must sign a permission slip to allow their children to trade cards. Library staff are not responsible for ensuring the equality of any trade between players based on card value (or sentimentality).

Join us for our 3D Printer Orientation!

This orientation session will instruct participants on using the 3D printer in the library . Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a 3D printer at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a 3D printer. Attendees will receive the 3D printer and Dremel 3D45 badges in Beanstack upon completion of orientation.

CHESS out this fun afternoon OPERATION each month to CONNECT FOUR bragging rights and snacks while playing tabletop games at the library! There’s just UNO rule, steer clear of EXPLODING KITTENS and other TROUBLE. Grades 3 to 12.

Calling all brick builders, are you up for a challenge? Teams will work to creatively complete a different build mission in an hour each month! Grades 4 to 12.  Tuesday, September 9, 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM.

Join us for our Cricut orientation!

This orientation session will instruct participants on using the Cricut in the library. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule time to use a Cricut at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a Cricut. Attendees will receive the Cricut and Cricut Explore Air 2 badges in Beanstack upon completion of orientation.

Tweens, this craft time is for you! Hang out with friends, craft something totally original to you, and enjoy snacks and retro tunes. Grades 4 to 5, Thursday, September 4, 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM.
