Description: Learn knitting, crochet, macramé, and embroidery basics!

  • Start new projects or bring a current project to work on.
  • You will have the opportunity to display your finished project in the library!

No experience needed—just bring your creativity and curiosity. Open to tweens and teens in 6th grade through 12th grade (ages 11-18).

Jacinto City Branch Library will host a dedicated homework help time for kids and teens every Wednesday from 4:30pm-5:30pm. Enjoy a quiet space to focus, with librarians available to help guide you and answer your questions.

Are you in 7th–12th grade and looking for a fun, meaningful way to earn volunteer hours and make a difference? Become a Big Buddy at Jacinto City Branch Library!

As a Big Buddy, you’ll be paired with a child in kindergarten through 3rd grade (a Little Buddy) for 10 weeks of shared reading and mentorship. It’s a great way to build leadership skills, obtain service hours, and inspire a love of reading in a younger student.

Bayou Preservation Association is coming back to the JC Library for a special event! Come pick-up a Watershed Explorer Kit on Friday, August 29th between 3pm-6pm. All FREE, while supplies last!

The Watershed Explorer Kit provides a fun and interactive way to learn about and monitor your local waterway(s)  quality. The kit includes all the tools needed for kids to explore, test, and record water quality at a nearby bayou/waterway. Perfect for outdoor learning!
