As an incoming college student, many of you might have questions about how to begin your academic journey. What classes should you take? What classes are required, and when should you take them? Who do you turn to? Navigating a college campus is difficult enough, but it doesn't have to be something you do alone. We will be discussing the benefits of academic advising in college, presented by a former academic advisor. Come join us with any inquiries!
Planning on entering the field of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) as you venture into higher education? This presentation, hosted by FutureU and presented by a former academic advisor, will introduce you to the information you need to know prior to enrolling in this highly distinguished discipline. We will discuss pre-requisite courses, honors opportunities, career outcomes, extracurriculars, and other requirements that will be expected by colleges and universities.

On this swashbuckling Minecraft adventure, teens and tweens join their pirate crew to team up. We’ll see which group of young pirates can find the most treasure while exploring sailing ships, the harbor village, and a massive island. It’s a thrill-seeking 1.5-hour event for grades 4-12! Tickets will be available at the customer service desk 30 minutes before the program.
All ages are welcome to participate in creating mini canvas portraits on Wednesday, June 25, at 6:30 PM. All supplies will be provided, and we will display the portraits in the library during the month of July. Registration is required.
Grades 6-12 come learn drawing tips and tricks for manga and fantasy! Tickets will be available at the customer service desk 30 minutes before the program.

Learn to turn daily writing into calligraphy art with Junrui Garcia. Explore how and why some cultures value calligraphy and the significance of handwriting in our digital age. Grades 4-12, tickets will be available at the customer service desk 30 minutes before the program.
