In celebration of our summer reading theme Color Our World, we’re throwing a rainbow party! Activities and crafts galore, what more could you ask for? We are greatly encouraging attendees to wear their favorite color of the rainbow from head to toe.

Join us for a special performance by the Houston Grand Opera presenting Storybook Opera: Fairy Tales! This performance is free and recommended for Pre-K through 2nd grade age children and their caregivers.

Swirl, Drag, and Create with Color!

Unleash your inner artist with this hands-on and one-of-a-kind art activity! Join us at the library to explore the magic of string painting — where kids dip string into paint, drag it across paper, and watch incredible designs come to life.

Join with other preschoolers and parents/caregivers for weekly story time fun! Preschool Story Time uses age appropriate stories, songs and finger plays, and a take-home craft to engage preschoolers and their parents/caregivers. This story time is geared towards kids ages 3-5 years.

Tickets are required and will be handed out in the Children's Library starting 15 minutes prior. Children must have a ticket to attend Preschool Story Time.

Join us for a craft time for our youngest artists! This activity is intended for children ages 2 and up.

Registration is strongly encouraged, so we can get a head count -- we want to have enough materials for everyone who wants to join in on the fun! Depending on weather and mess level, this program will either be outside the library or in the children's section upstairs.
