The Barbara Bush Branch is excited to welcome the financial literacy workshop, Put Mason Out of Business, to the library!

#PutMasonOutofBusiness, a business basics workshop that engages participants with hands-on and interactive content and activities that teaches them the FUNdamentals of building their own business!

Inspired by the children’s book, Mason Makes Money, the #PutMasonOutofBusiness workshop serves to educate youth about entrepreneurship by highlighting introductory concepts of business planning, money management, customer service, and marketing. Students are challenged to use what they’ve learned to build a dog washing business so creative that it will put an end to Mason’s Wash n Wag, the participants’ imaginary competitor.

The workshop culminates with a business showcase, where participants will present their businesses to mock judges. The team with the highest score will win a prize!

With informative content, and fun exercises and activities that reinforce the lessons, the #PutMasonOutofBusiness workshop promises to be a rewarding session from which kids of all ages can learn and grow!

Our friends at Put Mason Out of Business request that attendees be between the ages of 10 and 14.
Space is limited. This workshop requires registration to attend. Registrants will be contacted to verify attendance on June 6th. The waitlist will be contacted on June 7th.
