Join us in conjunction with Writers in the Schools (WITS), for a poetry series like you've NEVER SEEN BEFORE! Our WITS instructor will take you on a journey through writing and mixed media art! This series will not only allow you to learn, write, and perform (if you'd like) your poetry for the community, but also to create your own 3D printed masterpiece over the course of 8 weeks! By joining Northwest Library’s team in the annual Tournament of Books competition, you have the chance to win a $100 grand prize! Open to high schoolers/homeschoolers across Harris County (age 14-18), Tournament of Books is a book club with a competitive twist. By working together with up to 4 friends, divide and conquer the reading list of 12 titles selected from the newest and brightest titles in Young Adult literature.
Join us for our Cricut orientation!
This orientation session will instruct participants on using the Cricut in the library. Those completing the class will then be able to schedule time to use a Cricut at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a Cricut. Attendees will receive the Cricut and Cricut Explore Air 2 badges in Beanstack upon completion of orientation.
