Switch 2 Play is a weekly Thursday event at 4:00 PM in the library, where people of all ages can relax and connect through popular games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart World, Just Dance, Street Fighter VI, and more! All necessary equipment—including the console, controllers, and seating—is provided for a fun and easygoing gaming experience, though feel free to bring your own controllers if you prefer!
Teens! Hang out, play games, and do something awesome at the library! We have tablets, a huge digital table, game consoles, and more for FREE use. Meet new friends, challenge yourself, and unleash your creativity!

Bring your own favorite snacks 🍫🍪🥤 to enjoy while you watch and get ready for a fun-filled break with nonstop cartoon comedy. If you love animation and humor, this is the perfect event for you!
Grab your cape and join us for an epic journey through the world of superheroes! Each month we’ll watch a different superhero movie or TV show, share fan theories, and dive into comic book origins and character backstories. Snacks provided! Please note that we will be showing PG-13 rated films and shows. Participants must be between the ages of 13-18.

Hey teens, did you know you could win $100 for reading books?
By joining Galena Park’s team in the annual Tournament of Books competition, you have the chance to win a $100 grand prize! Open to highschoolers/homeschoolers across Harris County (age 14-18), Tournament of Books is a book club with a competitive twist. By working together with up to 4 friends, divide and conquer the reading list of 12 titles selected from the newest and brightest titles in Young Adult literature.
Join us in celebrating Native American Heritage Month with Young Audiences of Houston instructor Marsha Dorsey Outlaw! She will be showing us how to make Ojo de Dios, a traditional fiber art that is rooted in the Huichol culture of Mexico and Pueblo peoples of the Southwest. We invite everyone ages 13+ to explore its cultural significance through a relaxing weaving process while creating unique designs.
This event has limited capacity and tickets will be available at the front desk 30 minutes before the start of the program. First come, first served.
Occurrence: 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the Month (unless otherwise noted)
Time 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM and 5:00pm-6:00pm
