Join us every other Tuesday at 4:45 to create and build with LEGOs!
We will have the option of LEGO challenges or free build during our building session. At the end of our session you can share and display your creations at the JC Library for the month. 

*This program is for ages 6-12 but siblings are always welcome.

Join us for a cozy and fun Family Storytime at the Maud Smith Marks library! Bring the whole family and settle in for a delightful session of stories, songs, and interactive activities perfect for all ages. Wear your comfiest pajamas, and feel free to bring a favorite stuffed animal or blanket for extra snuggly vibes.

Join us as the Friends of the Maud Marks Library hold their next used book sale. There is a large selection of hardback fiction and nonfiction, as well as children’s books and paperbacks. All items sell for rock bottom prices!

We will also be hosting a Friends Members-Only preview on Friday, September 26, from 4 PM - 5:30 PM.

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with us! Join professional Flamenco dancers and learn more about the beauty, strength, and variety that exists with Flamenco dance and culture. Participants will gain a deeper appreciation of this art through a brief introduction to the origin and history of Flamenco, as well as an explanation of the performance elements that compose this dance. Participants will complete the program by learning choreographed routines. All Ages.

Love playing the Pokémon card game and discussing all things Pokémon with fellow fans? Join the Pokémon League every first and third Saturday, sponsored by the Magnolia City Pokémon Gym. Bring your favorite deck, play the card game with other fans, trade cards in a controlled environment, and talk all things strategy. This event is open to all ages and skill levels.

Join us for our 3D Printer Orientation!

This orientation session will instruct participants on using the 3D printer in the library . Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a 3D printer at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a 3D printer. Attendees will receive the 3D printer and Dremel 3D45 badges in Beanstack upon completion of orientation.

Have you ever wanted to check out eBooks from the library but didn't know how to use Libby? This program is designed to introduce you to both apps and create accounts with your library card. Get the apps today!

The HCPL and Libby Apps are available for iOS and Android through the App and Google Play stores.

Join us for a free 5 week parent and child play time and workshop for families with kids ages 1 - 3 years old (older siblings are welcome to accompany them).  These will be held Mondays at 6 pm from September 9 - October 7.  Please register using the online registration.  This program was designed by Family Place Libraries.
