Join the Maud Marks Library on Tuesdays @ 11:15AM for some Explorer Time!

Preschool Explorer Time is sensory play that encourages learning through exploration, curiosity, problem solving and creativity.

This 30 minute session will be every Tuesdays for ages 3-5 as children will get a chance to explore with fun activities that are good for the development of their language and motor skills!

Join us for a 5-week workshop focused on promoting early childhood development and parental education and involvement.

Parents/caretakers and their children ages one to three will play, sing, move, and enjoy activities. We’ll provide helpful resources from community professionals.

March 24 and 31; April 7, 14, and 21

Join us for Toddler Time, an early literacy program where we share stories, songs, and rhymes. This program is for children ages 18 months to 3 years old and their caregivers. 

In order to ensure the safety of our youngest patrons, this is a ticketed program. Free tickets will be available in the library on the morning of the program. First come, first served.

This program is recommended for babies aged 0-18 months, accompanied by a parent or caregiver. It includes age-appropriate stories, rhymes, bounces, and songs that lay the foundation for reading. Children will also develop sensory, fine motor, and social skills through playtime.

The Family Playdate Workshop is a six week program intended for children 0 to 5 years old, and their caregivers. Pairs/groups of caregivers and children gather in a room with passive toys that encourage creative play and social learning. In each session a local childhood expert will informally provide information, and answer the questions and concerns of caregivers on topics related to early development, parenting, and families.

The workshop is offered twice a year, once a semester (fall and spring).

Registration is required.

Please join us the Friday of spring break for Sidewalk Chalk! Come make your mark. Recommended for children of all ages. Let your creativity soar. Chalk and stencils will be provided.

Sidewalk chalk will take place on the library sidewalks nearest the side parking lot closest to Diana Lane. 

No tickets are required. We will be coloring from 2:30 to 4:00 pm.

Join us every Tuesday at 10:30 am for stories, songs, fingerplays and crafts using best practices of the Every Child Ready to Read program. You and your children will have fun while honing skills necessary to be ready to read!
