Tweens (kids aged 8-12) will learn the basics of cursive handwriting in our monthly classes. These classes will teach simplified or modern cursive, which is more approachable and practical while still being more formal than print handwriting. By the last class, students will be able to read cursive words and write their names, full sentences, and short paragraphs in cursive.

Hey, middle schooler! Do you love reading? If so, join us in every Tuesday in March from 6pm to 7pm to read, discuss, and have fun! Each meeting, we will discuss themes, events, and personal connections about our book. To add to the fun, we will also be playing games based off the book. This is a great place to meet new people who share your love of stories

Ms. Maryam helps us celebrate the spirit of Ramadan and the beauty of Spring by crafting personalized cards for your loved ones.
This program is best suited for children ages 5 and up. Tickets are available at the Children's desk 15 minutes before the start of the program. Materials are limited, so please pick up a ticket before entering the program.
Come to the Barbara Bush Library and be assisted by a trained AARP volunteer.
Volunteers will be assisting each Monday starting at 11am and on Saturdays from 10am - 2pm between February 4th to April 17th (excluding holidays and library closures.)
Please make sure you bring a driver’s license, Social Security Card, and any relevant tax information for everyone included on the tax return.
101a: Learn the sewing machine and stitches...take home a small project
101b: Use your skills to sew a mug rug (smaller than a placemat larger than a coaster)
Prerequisite for 101b: 101a
**All supplies will be provided and are limited in quantity.
**Ages: 12 to 18**
Join us on Fridays at 1PM to craft and chat. We focus on knitting and crochet and make items to donate to local charities.
We are happy to help old and new crafters with their projects, but this is not a formal class.
Please bring your own supplies.
