The Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library hosts English classes for adults ages 18+ who are interested in learning to speak the English language or improve their English-speaking skills. We teach basic English grammar subjects and words that relate to basic life skills. The students have the opportunity to practice speaking the English language with other students.

Join us for a free class to help you prepare for your naturalization interview and civics test. You must complete an English placement assessment to join the class. Taking this class will not grant citizenship or pay for any application fees. Registration is required as space is limited.

Join us at the Baldwin Boettcher Library for a Hispanic Heritage Month decoration party! All ages are welcome to create decorations celebrating Hispanic and Latino cultures. Materials are provided, and no crafting experience is needed. Help us adorn the library with colorful displays!

Sheba Gonzalez, IRS Employee, will facilitate a seminar on protecting yourself against identity theft. She will discuss the steps taxpayers can take to protect their tax related information including how to use the Identity Protection Personal Identification Number (P PIN) to secure their return information. Join us for our weekly homeschool meet up, where kids can engage in STEAM activities such as building challenges, fiber art crafts, science experiments, process art, games, and more, all while having fun and socializing. Parents/caregivers are welcome to join each other in the library for an informational session and networking.

*Recommended for children ages 5-11, under 5 must have an accompanying adult.

Bring your broken items to our Repair Café, where various volunteer repair coaches are on hand to help repair your items free of charge. We have tools and commonly needed materials on hand during the event. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to fix everything, but we are pretty sure you will have a good time while you are here. Word Crafters is a writing group that meets every Wednesday at 4 pm in the conference room of Baldwin Boettcher Library. No registration is necessary.
