Join us for Bilingual Storytime at Jacinto Library Branch for weekly storytime fun!

Bilingual Storytime uses songs, age appropriate stories, and crafts/playtime to engage children and their parents/caregivers.

This program is designed to help promote early literacy skills, support your bond with your child(ren), and hopefully turn your little reader into a life-long reader!

Recommended for children between the ages of 2-5 yrs.

Join us at 4:30 PM to make take home Luchador Masks!!!! No artistic experience needed and all ages may come and join us! This craft is in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month! 

Join us for a free class to help you prepare for your naturalization interview and civics test. You must complete an English placement assessment to join the class. Taking this class will not grant citizenship or pay for any application fees. Registration is required as space is limited.

Join us to discuss the Gulf Coast Reads pick: The Faculty Lounge by acclaimed Houston author Jennifer Mathieu! This smart and heartfelt novel follows a cast of teachers as they navigate the tangled web of education, community, and personal transformation. With warmth, wit, and an insider’s eye, The Faculty Lounge offers an unforgettable glimpse into the lives of the adults behind the lesson plans.

Join us every other Tuesday at 4:45 to create and build with LEGOs!
We will have the option of LEGO challenges or free build during our building session. At the end of our session you can share and display your creations at the JC Library for the month. 

*This program is for ages 6-12 but siblings are always welcome.

Register for our 12 Week English classes this Fall! We have classes on different days at different times throughout the week to hopefully meet the needs of all community members. Classes will start in late August or September. To register please come to the library in person to fill out an application at the front desk! Classes are always free and everyone is welcome!
