Join us as the Friends of the Maud Marks Library hold their next Members-Only preview used book sale. There is a large selection of hardback fiction and nonfiction, as well as children’s books and paperbacks. All items sell for rock-bottom prices.
If you are not a member of the Friends of the Maud Marks Library, you may join at the door for $10. All proceeds will benefit the library.
Grades 3 to 12 bring your binders and come play Pokémon! Game mats and a limited number of gaming packs will be available. Parents must sign a permission slip to allow their children to trade cards. Library staff are not responsible for ensuring the equality of any trade between players based on card value (or sentimentality).

Join us for our 3D Printer Orientation!
This orientation session will instruct participants on using the 3D printer in the library . Those who complete the class will then be able to request time to use a 3D printer at HCPL branches, at which time they will complete a short machine-specific orientation at the location of their choice. Attending this orientation is mandatory before patrons can request time to use a 3D printer. Attendees will receive the 3D printer and Dremel 3D45 badges in Beanstack upon completion of orientation.
CHESS out this fun afternoon OPERATION each month to CONNECT FOUR bragging rights and snacks while playing tabletop games at the library! There’s just UNO rule, steer clear of EXPLODING KITTENS and other TROUBLE. Grades 3 to 12.
Calling all brick builders, are you up for a challenge? Teams will work to creatively complete a different build mission in an hour each month! Grades 4 to 12. Tuesday, September 9, 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM.

Tweens, this craft time is for you! Hang out with friends, craft something totally original to you, and enjoy snacks and retro tunes. Grades 4 to 5, Thursday, September 4, 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM.
Star Wars Reads is back for 2025! Join us for an afternoon packed with activities! Learn the ways of the Force with the Mustafar Saber Guild, practice your saber skills with virtual reality, shoot down battle droids, and make your own [pool noodle] lightsaber! And last but not least...enter your name for one of our grand prizes!
All ages are welcome to join the fun! Costumes encouraged!

Bring your own project to our monthly teen fiber arts group! Come to chat and work on your current project, get ideas for new projects, and be inspired by your fellow fiber artists. Whether it’s crochet, knitting, embroidery, cross stitch, or anything in between, if you can bring it with you, you can work on it. This program is open to ages 12-17, 18 if in high school.
