Maker Saturday is a program for those interested in Maker & Stem activities.
Join us for Teen Craft Night and create your own vibrant paper molas inspired by the traditional textile art! Layer colorful paper to design bold, eye-catching patterns while learning about this unique cultural craft. It's a fun, hands-on way to get creative and celebrate artistic expression from around the world!
This beginner friendly lesson will introduce participants to various hand embroidery stitches and techniques.
- This program is limited to attendees age 5 and up. Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults must be able to help their children with the project.
- This program involves sharp embroidery needles and embroidery scissors.
- Registration is required due to limited supplies and seating.
Be a spectacle of the night! Learn how to create light-up masquerade masks with simple wearable electronics.

Come enjoy some tween/teen-centered fantasy role-playing. Participants will take on the roles of wizards and warriors; facing challenges and forging friendships.
This program is best suited for tweens and teens only; ages 11 to 17.

Struggling in class? Join the personalized peer tutoring group, Learning Lounge, at the Barbara Bush Branch Library!
Each session features a mix of relaxing and engaging activities like puzzles, a creative hands-on project, and a group game to get everyone thinking and laughing. If you'd like extra help with schoolwork, you can sign up for one-on-one tutoring with a friendly peer tutor and head to a separate table for focused support.
