Come and listen to Houston Grand Opera Storybook Opera present RUBY’S CHINESE NEW YEAR by Vicki Lee Ruby has a special card to give to her grandmother for Chinese New Year. But who will help her get to grandmother’s house to deliver it? Will it be clever Rat, strong Ox, or cautious Rabbit? In this Chinese New Year tale, animals from the Chinese zodiac help a little girl deliver a gift to her grandmother.

The Friends of the Northwest Branch Library are holding their semi-annual book sale! A whole room of books for all ages, movies, music, and more! Most everything will be $1-$2 and 100% of the money earned at the sale go right back to the Northwest library and help fund our programs. So go crazy, give in to your inner book goblin! After all, it's not an addiction! It's giving back to your community!
