We will be working as a family to create a piece of art using the Japanese art technique, chigiri-e.
Asian Pacific Islander Heritage
Houston Grand Opera will be bringing a story to life through singing and storytelling. In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the featured story is Amy Wu and the Patchwork Dragon by Kat Zhang. This program is geared for grades PreK - 2nd.
Adults (18+) are invited to make this Hawaiian stir-fry.

Japanese treats will include Boba, Mochi, Red bean paste buns and Matcha green tea.

Come and join us in person for 30 to 45 minutes of art exploration! Our "Pour Your Art Out" after school art time is free to attend and all materials will be provided. Art projects are age-appropriate for elementary school age children and their caregivers. We will announce art subjects at the start of each program.

A virtual tour around the world! Join us every second Tuesday of the month as we learn about the cultural practices, celebrations, food, animals, language, and geography of specific countries through discussion and hands-on activities. In May, we'll be exploring Indonesia!
