We just started taking on a project of crocheting/knitting ear warmers for a domestic abuse shelter that houses about 100 individuals. We hope to make as many as we can by October. Yarn is provided. If you'd like to help with this project, thats awesome!

Otomi embroidery is the Mexican embroidery style known as "Tenangos", using vibrant colors, and unique floral and animal designs. Each Otomi piece is hand embroidered on Ivory muslin by Otomi artisans.
Otomi textiles represent a great Mexican tradition that has been passed from generation to generation. The Otomi designs are symbols based on native flora and fauna of the Otomi region. The animals and flowers in this Mexican embroidery represent the daily events of the Otomi culture in which we will appreciate animals such as deer, birds, rabbits, etc.
El libro del club es 'El Principito' de Antoine De Saint-Exupéry. Antoine De Saint-Exupéry fue un escritor y aviador francés, su primera novela, "El aviador" en 1926, y le siguieron otras como "Correo del Sur" (1928) y "Vuelo nocturno" (1931). Su obra "El Principito" (1943) es un cuento filosófico que aborda temas como la amistad, la soledad, el amor y la pérdida.
